Day 1 : Arrival

Location: Entebbe International Airport, Latitude 0 Degrees

Our guide will be waiting for you at the airport holding a board with your names. He will drive you to your hotel to rest and have a meal/snack depending on your arrival time. The driver-guide will brief you on the next day's itinerary and also inform you of the pick up time.

Day 2 : Transfer To Murchison Falls National Park Via Rhino Trekking

Location: Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Have an early breakfast. Drive northwards on the Kampala-Gulu for approximately two and a half hours and get to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary located in Nakasongola. Set out for a hike on the sanctuary to track the white rhinos. In addition to the rhinos, the sanctuary harbours several other wildlife including hippos, bushbucks, oribis, and lots of birds.
After close to two hours of trekking, get back on the road and get to Masindi for your lunch. Thereafter, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Check in at your accommodation to relax, have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 3 : Early Morning Game Drive - Afternoon Boat Cruise To The Bottom Of The Falls

Location: Murchison Falls National Park

Wake up to an early breakfast and set off for the game drive. Expect sightings of lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Jackson's hartebeests, reedbucks, Uganda kobs, oribis, warthogs, lots of savanna birds and wonderful scenery. After close to four hours, return to your accommodation for breakfast and lunch. Later, set out for the afternoon launch cruise along the Nile to the base of the Murchison Falls. There are lots of wildlife sightings along the Nile, including, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and lots of water birds. At the base of the falls, you can opt for the launch and hike along the falls to the top of the falls. You will meet the driver at the top and transfer back to your lodge. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge.

Day 4 : Transfer To Kibale National Park

Location: Kibale National Park

Have breakfast, check out of the lodge and leave for Kibale National Park. The drive along the scenic Albertine Rift Valley continues. You will stop over in Fort Portal town for lunch before proceeding to Kibale Forest National Park. Check into your accommodation that is situated just outside the park. Spend the day relaxing and enjoying the natural environment outside at the lodge.

Day 5 : Chimpanzee Tracking - Bigodi Nature Walk

Location: Kibale National Park

You will, after breakfast, head to Kibale Forest to view the primates. The activity begins at 8.00 am with a briefing about the rules for trekking the chimpanzees after which you'll set off to search for them in the forest. The exercise takes half a day and along the way, you will see other primates such as grey-cheeked mangabeys, phoestes, red-Colobus and the blue-tailed and red-tailed monkeys swinging in the branches of this thick forest. Your guide will give you informative briefings on the lifestyles of the primates you will be coming across and, on the plants, as well as on the insects and butterflies in this forest to ensure that the trek is not only enjoyable but also informative. Later, head out for a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp for a sighting of primates and birds.

Day 6 : Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park - Evening Game Drive Drive

Location: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and head for Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will stop over in Fort Portal town for lunch. Get to the park and drive to the lodge while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of beautiful craters and lakes dotted across the lush landscape. You will get to your accommodation in the late afternoon and spend the rest of the evening enjoying the beautiful nature across the park.

Day 7 : Early Morning Game Drive - Afternoon Boat Ride On Kazinga Channel

Location: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Accommodation: Lodge

Wake up to an early cup of tea/coffee at 6.00 am and set out for an early game drive. Games to see include lions, buffaloes, elephants, hyenas, kobs, and topis. The scenery is amazing with crater lakes and grassy hills. After close to three hours, return to the lodge for breakfast. After lunch, set out for the boat safari on the Kazinga Channel that joins Lakes Edward and George. The channel attracts a plethora of wildlife including hippos, buffaloes, elephants, monitor lizards and lots of water birds and wonderful scenery. Dinner and your overnight stay are at your accommodation.

Day 8 : Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Location: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Wake up to an early breakfast, check out of the accommodation and travel to the southern area of the park called Ishasha. This area is popular for tree-climbing lions, and if you're lucky, you may see them. Other big game in this area include elephants, topis, and buffaloes among others. Lunch will be at Ishasha. Thereafter, travels southwards to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check-in at your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 9 : Gorilla Tracking - Community Walk

Location: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Wake up to an early breakfast at 6.30 am, pick up your packed lunch and transfer to the park offices for a briefing by the rangers. You'll be assigned a gorilla group you shall track. At 8:00 am transfer to the start of the trek and head into the forest to find the mountain gorillas. You are allowed no more than an hour with them, then return to meet your driver. Return to the lodge for a snack, freshen up and then visit the local Batwa community to see the indigenous ways of live. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 10 : Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi - Canoe Ride

Location: Lake Bunyonyi

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxation experience and get to your accommodation in time for lunch. After lunch, relax for a bit then go for a canoe ride on one of the deepest lakes in the world. You can choose to ride the canoe yourself or use a guide to ride you. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 11 : Transfer To Lake Mburo National Park - Evening Game Drive

Have breakfast and check out and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Get to Lake Mburo in time for lunch, check into your accommodation and then have lunch. After lunch, relax and then later go for an evening game drive in the park and get to see a really beautiful sunset in the plains. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 12 : Morning Nature Walk - Afternoon Boat Ride

Location: Lake Mburo National Park

Accommodation: Lodge

Accommodation Name: Mihingo Lodge

Wake up for an early morning nature walk into the park for a chance to catch some nocturnal wildlife at a close encounter. You are led by an armed ranger for the walk. After the walk, return to the lodge, relax, refresh, and have lunch. Later on, after lunch, set out for a relaxing evening boat ride on Lake Mburo which gives you a chance to view some wildlife including hippos and several birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 13 : Travel Back To Entebbe

Location: Entebbe International Airport

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Wake up and have breakfast, check out of the lodge and travel back to Entebbe. We'll drop you off at your desired destination. Lunch is en route. You will also get to make a stopover at the Equator point for some picture moments.

Memorable and worry-free safari trip in Uganda

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a 13-day safari trip in Uganda organised by Verdoro Safaris, and I cannot emphasize enough how extraordinary the experience was! From the moment we arrived until the bittersweet farewell, every aspect of the journey exceeded my expectations. The country's remarkable wildlife, stunning landscapes, warm people, and impeccable organization and communication through Jessie made this safari an unforgettable adventure of a lifetime. Our journey began in Entebbe, where we were greeted by our knowledgeable and friendly tour guide Roger, who proved to be an invaluable asset throughout the trip. The itinerary was meticulously planned, allowing us to explore a variety of breathtaking destinations. From the vast savannahs of Murchison Falls National Park to the dense forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, each location provided its unique charm and an abundance of wildlife. The expertise of our guide Roger was evident as he skillfully navigated through the parks, ensuring we had the best vantage points for observing and capturing unforgettable moments. Accommodation proposed by Verdoro Safaris throughout the safari was top-notch, ranging from cozy lodges nestled in the heart of nature to luxurious tented camps that offered the perfect blend of comfort and immersion. The lodges provided warm hospitality, delicious local cuisine, and stunning views that truly enhanced the overall experience. I cannot praise our tour operator Verdoro Safaris enough for their impeccable service and attention to detail. From the seamless logistics to the knowledgeable guide, they ensured that every moment of our safari was memorable and worry-free. From day one, when we started enquiring about a safari and options available, the communication was great and responses were quick. Verdoro managed to put a personalised trip together at a very competitive rate. During the trip we were cared for in all respects and we always felt safe in the hands of our guide and driver. Our overall experience was beyond expectations. We can honestly recommend Verdoro Safaris as a good choice if you want to experience Uganda.

During the planning stages Verdoro Safaris was very helpful with setting up the routes and activities during the safari. The guide we had was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife as well as general questions we had. When the weather was less than great there were alternatives provided from which we could choose. The accommodations they had us in were great and very close to the parks and activities. The vehicle was well maintained and comfortable. We were able to see almost everything that we wanted to see and the only misses were due to weather or just nature not cooperating. Would highly recommend.

Overall very good - but there is room for improvement

Overall very nice service from Helen Jessie and our driver Julius. They do their best to please their customers and are helpful. Preparation of the trip; nice communication but sometimes we had to ask for things that should come automatically like copies of the Chimpanzee and Gorilla Trecking (we still wait for them and our tour is over sind more than two weeks) or a final Travel-Document including them. We booked medium to higher class Lodges but if you do not tell them what you want exactly you will find also low budget hotels instead, because they think so it will be cheaper. Finally we realized they did not know better, since the used some lodges the first time. From an agent I expect that he checks the Lodges that he offers or at least tell the clients, what they can expect. In one Lodge we had to fight for our Delux Room due to miscommunication agent and /Lodge and had to wait almost one hour. Rating for Lodges: 5* for Zero L'Altitude (Room, Food, Environment top), 4.5 * Kyaninga Lodge (title water only minus, super service!), Para Lodge 2* (very old, not clean, food very poor!), Buffalo Safari Lodge 4* (a bit aged, Bathroom minus, very good food), Lake Bunyoni Eco Lodge 1* (not to recommend, not what is promised, very bad food!), Kigambira Safari Lodge 4.5* (Outstanding apart of the pool- dirty not in use), food excellent) Service in all lodges excellent (Manager in Buffalo Lodge should! He is helpful and very friendly. Sometimes he could have helped out of the car instead of letting us crawl out (we are oldies hihihi), but ok, we managed it. If we had a wish he tried to make everything possible he could - Thank you Julius. Regarding food outside of the lodges, mostly good but twice we were not happy regarding place and cleanness - the agency should keep an eye on this, especially if they have clients, who book a medium to higher class trip! Boattour at Lake Mburo Nationalpark: never do this at the end of the trip, it is boring and disappointing - You better let guest have a rest in the beautiful Kigambira Lodge instead, provided pool is usable. Boattrip Lake Bunyony - ok but not exciting. All animal trips were super. One point here, guest should be informed ahead, that they only can get close to the animals (Queen Elizabeth) if they pay $100 extra. Then the guide asked a 10$ extra, paid to him (at the end he tried to ask 20$). He said it is for the people there, but I think, he cheated us and took the money for himself. We neither got a receipt, for the $ 100, we got one. Be carefully with this, don't pay this without official receipt.
