Located on the doorstep of a beautiful beach and charming promenade, the Llandudno Bay Hotel puts you in the perfect spot for a Welsh escape. With a fantastic position near to all the local sights and iconic attractions, beautifully finished interiors, and a well-furnished outside area with swinging egg chairs, you’ll feel right at home from the moment you arrive. From here, we’ll head for the clouds with a ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway – a rack and pinion railway which climbs to the very top of Snowdon. We’ll also chug along the shores of Lake Padarn on the Llanberis Lake Railway before joining Ffestiniog Railway, the world’s oldest narrow-gauge railway. With an exploration of the wonderful Italianate village of Portmeirion and charming Betws-y-Coed – the principal village of the Snowdonia National Park – a fantastic holiday is guaranteed.

Day 2 : Llanberis Lake Railway And Snowdon Mountain Railway

Today, we travel by coach to the village of Llanberis, which sits on the southern bank of Lake Padarn and the foot of Mount Snowdon – the highest mountain in Wales.
After our visit to Llanberis, we enjoy a return journey on the lovely Llanberis Lake Railway, which follows the shore of Lake Padarn with wonderful views of mountains and the lake along the way.
Later, we board the Snowdon Mountain Railway for a return journey to the summit and visitor centre, admiring the fantastic views over the scenic valley.
Day 3 : Portmeirion And Ffestiniog Railway

This morning, we travel by coach for our included visit to Portmeirion, a weird and wonderful Italianate village set on its own private peninsula. It is most famous for being the setting of the 1960s TV series ‘The Prisoner’.
After time at leisure, we enjoy a scenic journey on the Ffestiniog Railway, the world’s oldest narrow-gauge railway. This scenic 13½-mile journey travels the full length of the railway between Porthmadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog, encompassing pastures, villages, forests, lakes, waterfalls, tunnels, and horseshoe bends – even a complete spiral!
We return to the hotel by coach and enjoy dinner this evening.
Day 4 : Betws-Y-Coed And The Welsh Highland Railway
Location: Betws-y-Coed, Welsh Highland Railway - (Beddgelert, Station)

This morning, our coach takes us to stunning Betws-y-Coed. Situated in the heart of the Conwy Valley, Betws-y-Coed is the principal village of Snowdonia National Park. Enjoy time to explore at your own pace.
From here, we continue by coach to the picturesque riverside village of Beddgelert. Here, we will join the Welsh Highland Railway for a relaxing journey as the train meanders its way along the line. Take in spectacular views of forests and mountains as we head towards the coast and the imposing Caernarfon Castle. Once arriving at Caernarfon station, we travel by coach to our hotel.
Day 5 : Return Home

After breakfast, it is time to check out of our hotel. Why not take the opportunity to visit the Great Orme in Llandudno or the neighbouring town of Conwy before you make your own way home?
