Take in the delights of Holland on this idyllic 5-day river cruise, staying on board the MS Serenade 1. Starting our journey in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam, we set sail to Nijmegen – the oldest city in the Netherlands! We’ll also take in the magnificent blooms of Keukenhof Gardens and visit charming Rotterdam, where you’ll have the chance to soak up breathtaking views from the Euromast Observation Tower.

Day 2 : Amsterdam To Arnhem

Today we depart by coach for our included full day excursion to Keukenhof Gardens.
Here you have plenty of time to explore the 32-hectare site and enjoy the swathes of flowers, themed pavilions and wonderful atmosphere that surrounds this world-class event.
We re-join our ship in Amsterdam and set sail towards Arnhem.
Day 3 : Arnhem – Nijmegen
Location: Arnhem, Nijmegen

This morning, there’s the opportunity to join our optional walking tour of Arnhem, in the company of a local guide. Arnhem is probably most famous for the Battle of Arnhem, which was one of the largest battles in WWII. On our walking tour, you’ll see some of the key battle locations such as the John Frost Bridge and the St. Elizabethgasthuis. Learn more about the rich history of Arnhem as you pass the Rozet Building, Devil’s House and Sabre Gate.
Enjoy lunch back on board the ship as we set sail towards Nijmegen, arriving later this afternoon. Nestled on the banks of the Waal River, Nijmegen is the oldest city in the Netherlands. We are berthed here overnight – why not enjoy a journey through time with a walk through the charming Old Town?
Day 4 : Nijmegen To Rotterdam
Location: Nijmegen, Rotterdam

This morning, we sail to Rotterdam. Known as ‘Manhattan on the Meuse,’ the city’s impressive skyline showcases cutting-edge architecture.
This afternoon, you have the chance to head up the Euromast Observation Tower, where you can see as far as Antwerp on a clear day. We enjoy our final dinner onboard whilst berthed overnight in Rotterdam.
Day 5 : Return Journey
Location: United Kingdom
Meals Included: Breakfast
We bid farewell to our captain and crew this morning as we disembark for the return journey to the UK.
