Day 1 : Phnom Penh

Welcome to Cambodia! Upon arrival, you will be met by your tour guide and driver before being transferred to your hotel. The remainder of today is at your leisure to explore independently.

Day 2 : Phnom Penh

Location: Phnom Penh

This morning we embark on a cyclo ride through the bustling streets taking in Central Market, riverside and the Independence Monument. We’ll also see the famous Royal Palace which was built in 1866 and the incredible solid silver-floored Silver Pagoda - famous for its lavish decorations, silver paved floor and Buddha statues made from precious metals and stones, before bidding farewell to our cyclo drivers.
Continuing we visit the National Museum, a treasure chest of Angkorian and pre-Angkorian artefacts before ending our city tour with a visit to Wat Phnom pagoda and shopping at the Russian market. This evening, enjoy a boat cruise on the Mekong River and take in the local night life.

Day 3 : Kompong Thom

Location: Kampong Thom Province

After breakfast we leave Phnom Penh and travel to Kompong Thom province. The province is large in size with some 13,814 km making it the second biggest province of Cambodia. It is one of the most popular historical and cultural sites to explore due to its pre Angkorian temples. Later visit Sambor Prei Kuk, the most impressive group of pre-Angkorian monuments in Cambodia.

Day 4 : Siem Reap

Location: Krong Siem Reap

Today we continue to Siem Reap where we will visit the Angkor Wat Temple. This architectural master piece was built in the 12th century, took 30 years to complete and represents the Khmer civilization at its grandest. Covering 81 hectares, it is one of the largest religious monuments ever built. Angkor Wat, the biggest Hindu temple in the world and one of the largest religious monuments in the world, was built between the 9th – 13th century. In the early evening climb to Bakheng Hill to enjoy the superb view as the sun sets over Angkor Wat.

Day 5 : Terrace Of The Elephants

Location: Terrace of the Elephants

Today is spent further exploring the Angkor Complex, entering the South Gate of Angkor Thom Temple marvel at the wonders of the eerie Bayon, the terrace of Elephants and the terrace of the Leper King. Afterwards, we continue to visit Ta Prohm temple, shrouded in jungle and left just it was founded by French explorers in 1850s.
This afternoon we set out for a cruise on the beautiful Tonle Sap Lake passing a typical floating village observing the locals in their daily life. Tonight, offers free time or you could opt to see the circus which offers performances daily at 7:30pm.

Day 6 : Siem Reap

Location: Krong Siem Reap

Today travel to Banteay Srey, one of the most unusual temples of Angkor, Cambodia. It lies 20 km due north of the main group of temples and is built largely of red sandstone, which is covered with elaborate and intricate carvings. We then join the support efforts for the Cambodian reforestation and plant a tree in Preah Dak Village. We maybe planting a jackfruit or mango tree, which will help carbon offsetting and directly benefit the local community.
Later, the Srah Srang a royal bathing Palace, located east of Banteay Kdei is our next destination. It was constructed in the mid-10th century, and modified in the 12th or 13th century, then visit the Banteay Kdei Temple, a massive Buddhist monastery from the latter part of the 12th century and is surrounded by for concentric walls. Later take in Ta Keo, an incomplete temple in the Khleang style built as the state temple of Jayavarman V. Finally we finish with Thommanon Temple, one of a pair of Hindu temples built in the end of the 11th century.

Day 7 : Siem Reap Free Day

Location: Krong Siem Reap

Meals Included: Breakfast

Spend a day at leisure in Siem Reap, relaxing by the pool, taking a stroll around town or souvenir shopping at the local market.
Alternatively take an optional excursion to visit Beng Mealea Temple, a spectacular jungle temple around 60 Kms drive to the north east of Siem Reap. It is one of the "new" highlights of Cambodia; having only been cleared of mines at the end of 2003. Built by Jayarvaman VII; in the style of Angkor Wat; its scale is huge. Being well over one square kilometre in area and all located within a moat. Approached by four causeways, Beng Mealea appears to be a huge pile of rubble partially hidden in the trees, it's not until you get closer to the high walls that the ancient Khmer Architecture reveals itself. Cloaked in vegetation the temple looks as it did when French explorers first stumbled across it.

Day 8 : Siem Reap

Location: Krong Siem Reap

Arrangements conclude after breakfast and onward departure transfer to the airport.

Recently returned from Greece, a 5 day tour with OTG. Unfortunately, I had a negative experience on day 2 where I needed local support to get me out of a tricky situation. Jamal is our tour guide. Right from the start, he created a group chat in whatsapp and if any issues to make sure we contact him. He was on the ball with every issue thrown at him. Luggage being left behind, stragglers wondered off in a different path, hotel room etc. He explains the various site along our route to give us a better understanding of the local cultures. The Land of Northern Lights tour was a triumph! My tour of Southern Iceland was absolutely wonderful. The venues chosen, the timing allotted at each venue and the variety of things to experience was nearly perfect. Our guide, "Thor", was smart, amusing, full of history and anecdotal stories as well as being incredibly hospitable and helpful. This small group experience was my first, but not my last thanks to On the Go.

I have just returned from my tour with On The Go and it was an amazing trip! From arriving at the airport and meeting the OTG representative, everything was well organised and hassle free. Our tour guide was Amir. He is awesome!! From the beginning he was so friendly and enthusiastic about showing us around Egypt, giving us loads of information at each place and time to explore ourselves. Learnt so much from him about this fascinating place, and he was always happy to answer more questions. The trip itself was amazing. There's lots of travelling on this trip, but it's really not too bad, and the sights you see when you get to where you are going are worth it. I'm not a big fan of boats, but the Felluca ride across the Nile was pretty fun too. On the first day I also did the optional tour of Cairo with Ahmed Helal - another excellent guide from OTG. It's worth doing this add on as you don't spend much time in Cairo, and you go to three very different places. I'm so glad that I decided to do this trip. It was just ace. If you're thinking about it too, you should probably just book it. And hopefully you get Amir as your guide.

TOTALLY MOROCCO We booked a 9 day tour of Morocco visiting many main cities and places of interest. The coach was very comfortable and we felt safe with the driver Suliman. The guide was Hicham Touraouine and he was fantastic. He spoke perfect English as well as French, Arabic and Berber. He was so kind and considerate and made a good tour great. We particularly enjoyed ‘glamming in the Sahara Desert. So much to see and do and great food and company. We would definitely use On The Go Tours again, especially if Hicham was the guide. I would give this tour group no stars if possible. The tour was not guaranteed but they did not inform me when I booked and they did not have enough people. Way after I booked they said I needed a doctors letter because I was over 70. Also way after booking I was informed I needed travel insurance. They knew my age when I booked. They would not refund my tour even though it was 4 months away.

Terrible tour of India. For some reason On the Go hadn't realised that my room mate had booked her own room for the first night of tour. So the hotel in Delhi had tried to put me in her room after midnight, by wheeling in an extra bed. She went Crazy!! I then had to sit in hotel reception for hours. While the tour guide said he couldn't find me a room. Throughout the tour the guide consistently ask me and my room mate for money for my room, causing more friction between us. Don't book with this company had the worst experience ever. Go with Intrepid or G Adventure

I had used them once before and loved them. I decided to try them again for a Baltic tour not knowing that they put me on another Tour group- Baltic vision. Loved that tour but was not impressed they marked up the cost for me over 100%. I understand taking some for yourself because of paperwork, but over double the cost everyone else paid on the tour. Just double check before you book with them that you’re not over paying.
