Experience the lovely town of Windsor, famed for its royal connections, and take the chance to explore Windsor Castle with included entrance to St George’s Chapel, the final resting place of our late Queen. From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to Windsor where we visit Windsor Castle, the oldest inhabited castle in the world and the final resting place of the late sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II. Discover 1,000 years of royal history and take the chance to step inside St George’s Chapel, which houses the tombs of 11 monarchs, including Queen Elizabeth II, George VI, Henry VIII and Charles I. We then have some free time to explore this picturesque, riverside town at leisure and to find somewhere for dinner (not included) before we head to our hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and make our way to London for a day of sightseeing. From plenty of shopping opportunities on Oxford Street and in Covent Garden to discovering the city’s iconic sights, there’s plenty to do. Or why not visit one of the capital’s most famous landmarks, the Tower of London, on our optional excursion (£32pp)? Later, we rejoin the coach mid-afternoon for our journey home.
Day 2 : London
Experience the wonder of the England’s capital with National Holidays, and rediscover London's top attractions and hidden gems.
One of the top capitals in the world, London boasts a wealth of attractions to keep all the family entertained. Take advantage of the spectacular sights from the London Eye or wander around Camden Market, looking for quirky gifts.
If you enjoy history, why not discover one of the many museums, rich with culture and years of interesting artefacts, or explore the array of shops on Oxford Street. Why not relax with a cocktail up the world-famous Shard building or take in the magnitude and elegance of St Paul's Cathedral.
Whatever you decide to get up to, London has it all to appeal to the whole family!
Day 3 : Windsor Castle
A magnet for Royal enthusiasts, Windsor Castle remains the largest and oldest inhabited castle in the world.
Towering above the town on a steep chalk mound, the impressive castle is set in 5000 acres of parkland and captures over 1,000 years of British history.
You can enjoy a guided audio tour as you stroll through the grandeur of the State Apartment and discover paintings and treasures from the Royal Collection.
Head to St George’s Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle to visit the final resting place's of over 40 members of the Royal Family, including Queen Elizabeth II.
A great attraction and a memorable day out for all the family, Windsor Castle is a fascinating place to visit.
Day 4 : Windsor
Discover the ancient royal town of Windsor, a beautiful town with a rich history situated on the River Thames and most famous for Windsor Castle, one of the official residences of His Majesty The King and the British Royal Family.
Windsor Castle towers over this regal town and offers various exhibitions and attractions to see, from Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Changing of the Royal Guards to the Gothic St George’s Chapel and the State Apartments.
