This is an adventure trek where you will be experiencing the high Himalaya peaks of Nepal, Hike to Everest Base Camp, and Cross Cho-la Pass at 5,000+ meters. The combination of EBC, close-up views of Mt. Everest, the beautiful Gokyo Lakes, and the popular viewpoints of Kalapatthar and Gokyo Ri make this trip one of the best trekking destinations in Nepal. During this trek, you will get to experience the following majestic mountains in Nepal Mt. Everest at 8,848 m, Mt. Lhotse at 8,516 m, Mt. Makalu at 8,485 m, Mt. Cho-Oyu at 8,201 m, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Day 1 : Arrival In Kathmandu (1,350M) & Transfer To Hotel.

Location: Kathmandu

Upon arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. From here you will be taken in a private vehicle to your hotel by Uma holidays Travels & Tours representative where you can rest or take a short walk around the Thamel area.

Day 2 : Fly To Lukla (2,804M) & Trek To Phakding (2,610M) Duration: 4-5 Hours.

Today, early in the morning, we will pick you from your hotel and drive you to the Tribhuvan Domestic Airport in Kathmandu. A quick, 35-minute flight from Kathmandu will take you to Lukla (2,804m), the gateway to the Everest Base Camp, and the starting point of this trek. Walking through the Dudhkoshi River Valley, past various settlements such as Chheplung and Chaurikharka, before reaching Phakding Village. Enjoy great views of the mountains during the trek. It's a leisurely day with a gradual descend of approximately 200 meters from Lukla. Overnight stay at Teahouse.

Day 3 : Trek From Phakding To Namche Bazaar (3,441 M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

After breakfast, we will follow the trail of the thundering Dudh Kosi River, cross numerous suspension bridges along the way. Trek past Monjo and Jorsalle villages until we reach Namche Bazaar (3,440m), a village in the mountains that is also the center of commerce in the Everest region. overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 4 - Acclimatization Day At Namche Bazaar.

Today we have a rest day in Namche and allow your body to acclimatize to the high altitude. You have the option to hike to the nearby areas. The trading and administrative center of the Khumbu region, Namche Bazaar is home to various government offices, banks, ATm, cyber, plenty of shops and eateries. One of the most interesting optional day hikes on our list is the one that takes you to Everest View Hotel, from where you can enjoy magnificent views of Mount Everest and other Himalaya peaks, After enjoying some time at the viewpoint we trek down to Namche Bazaar for overnight stay.

Day 5 : Trek From Namche To Dole (4,200M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

Location: Dole

from Namche, we will following the trail that enables us to see and capture some of the rare and spectacular views around. The view of great peaks at Shanasa may overwhelm you. The trail soon will take us through the right side of Mongla hill, and we reach Phortse Thanga. We will have our lunch here. A few hours trek will take us down to Dole, the place We will be staying tonight.

Day 6 : Trek From Dole To Machharmo (4,407M) Duration: 3-4 Hours.

Location: Machhermo

from Dole, we will climb up towards Machharmo. On the way, we will pass some quiet cold, pristine brooks, and wild forest. Since we will be reaching towards higher altitude, we will see great views of greater magnitude and grandeur. Here at Dole, We can also visit the Himalayan Rescue Association. We will have a very pleasant stay Machhermo at a local teahouse.

Day 7 : Trek From Machhermo To Gokyo (4,800M) Duration: 4-5 Hours.

After having breakfast, we start our trek to Gokyo Valley. Gokyo lies at an amazing altitude of 4,800m. This little town on the base of Gokyo Ri Peak is home to several indigenous people. Before reaching Gokyo, we walk along 3 lakes namely Longpongo, Raboche Tsho, and Dudh Pokhari. Considering its height, it is definitely one of the most beautiful spots for human settlement on the earth. We will spend our night at Gokyo Valley.

Day 8 : Hike Up To Gokyo Ri (5,463M) And Trek To Thangag (4,700M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

Today, Early in the morning, we will conquer 5463m high Gokyo Ri from where we can view outstanding Mt.Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu among others. we will trek back to Gokyo and have breakfast. After having breakfast we trek to Thagnag for overnight stay.

Day 9 : Cross Cho La Pass & Trek To Zonglha (4,830M) Duration: 7-8 Hours.

Today is One of the most challenging trekking days of the entire Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Lake. We start to trek along the rocky trails and glacial moraines to the top of the pass. The 300m up to the pass is a technical walk. Fours of a walk uphill to the top of Cho La Pass 5,420m rewards us with the superb views of Cho La Lake and Mt. Cholatse. Then after we descend from the pass along the slippery icy trails and glaciers followed by an hour pleasant walk brings us to Zonglha. Overnight stay at the teahouse.

Day 10 : Trek From Zhonglha To Lobuche (4,910M) Duration: 3-4 Hours.

Location: Dingboche

After having breakfast at the lodge, an easy downhill for a while and a few up and down walking brings us to Lobuche. overnight stay at the teahouse.

Day 11 : Trek From Lobuche To Everest Base Camp (5,364 M) & Back To Gorak Shep (5,180 M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

Today, The first part of the trail will take you to Gorakshep via the Khumbu Glacier. Drop your bags and enjoy your lunch in Gorakshep before heading to Mt. Everest Base Camp (5,364m). The trail takes you through terrain strewn with rocks, moraines, streams, and a glacier. Arrive Everest Base Camp, located in the middle of the Khumbu Glacier we will spend some time at Base Camp and trek back to Gorakshep for an overnight stay. If the weather is good, we will hike up to Kala Patthar late in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset views. But it's not easy to cover Gorakshep, Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar on the same day. Overnight stay at Teahouse.

Day 12 : Hike Up To Kala Patthar (5,550M) & Trek To Pangboche (3,900M) Duration: 8-9 Hours.

From Gorakshep, early in the morning we hike up to Kala Patthar this famous landmark located above Gorakshep and enjoy amazing views of the mountains shining in the color of the morning sun. the view from on top of Mt. Kalapathar certainly makes up for it. You will stand in awe at the mountains that ring you in all directions. We will definitely take the time to take pictures up here. Set your camera on panorama mode and shoot the most amazing pictures you have ever taken! We will spend some time there before descending to Gorakshep. Grab your breakfast and start your trek downhill journey to Pangboche. Stay overnight at Teahouse.

Day 13 : Trek From Pangboche To Namche (3440M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

Location: Namche Bazar

After breakfast, Continue our journey downhill. Cross the Dudh Kosi River and make a steep climb to Kyanjuma. From this point on, the path is largely flat or downhill until you reach the headquarters of Sagarmatha National Park just above the Namche Bazar. We spend our night at Namche Bazaar.

Day 14 : Trek From Namche To Lukla (2,804 M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

Location: Lukla

Today is a long day on a downhill trail awaits you. The last day of Gokyo & EBC trek is full of steep descends along the Dudh Kosi River until you reach Phakding village for lunch. From Phakding, then we climb up to reach Lukla for overnight stay.

Day 15 : Fly From Lukla To Kathmandu (1350M) Duration: 30 Minutes Flight.

Location: Kathmandu

Accommodation: Hotel

Today we will catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. Uma holiday travels & Tours representative will accompany you for a complimentary farewell dinner provided by the company in the evening. This is the end of our services. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 16 : Transfer To The International Airport For Your Final Departure

Every day you see unreal views of some of the most amazing mountains in the world. My personal favorite was the part walking to Gokyo Lake. This route is less busy and it felt like a real adventure. Walking through the different altitudes felt like different worlds, constantly changing landscapes, terrain and wild life.

Absolutely incredible trek. Great views and not so overcrowded. If you like to get away from all the people and walk in peace and quiet this is a great route. Challenging although not to difficult, the climbs of Kala Patthar and Gokyo Ri were excellent.

We had such a great experience on this trek. Our guide was local to the region so we gained such great information about the region and were able to visit some extra places not on the itinerary. We had amazing weather the whole trip so even on the hardest days we were reminded why we were here with great views. The trek was challenging as expected so very much enjoyed that too. All round great experience.

There are super stunning view on Chola pass and Gokyo lake. Very well-organized trek with great guide and porters. We had no problems during the whole trip. And when you in Gorakshep near EBC you can see a beautiful view of Mt.Everest.

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and trek. Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo Ri are beautiful and it's definitely worth spending time there for hikes and an ascent. There are less tourist and one gets to enjoy the mountains more, rather than the human traffic.

The trek was challenging in places, especially with having to adjust to the altitude, but it was worth the effort for the rewards. The weather was great whilst we were there with us only needing shorts and t-shirts when trekking at lower-levels. The accommodation and food was as expected, considering the remoteness of the location.

He told us about the local cultures, history, and mythology of the mountains. Porter was also extremely friendly and became like a brother to us.
