We explore the beautiful and dramatic scenery of the Yorkshire Dales today as we travel firstly to Pateley Bridge – an idyllic market town that stretches up the hillside. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the town boasts historic buildings, delicious local produce and a history that stretches back for centuries.
Our day continues as we make our way to Grassington where the bustling market square is fringed with thriving, independent shops. Art galleries, craft studios and friendly cafés set against the beautiful backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales make this small market town feel like a village – and, of course, this is the home of the fictional 'Darrowby' in the newest series of All Creatures Great and Small.
We round the day off with a visit to Skipton, affectionately known as the 'Gateway to the Dales', where there are pretty alleyways and ginnels to be explored as well as canalside walks to be enjoyed.
